Diplomatic Support

Ambassador Peter Cianchette stopped by the team lunch yesterday for a rather enthusiastic pep talk. He promised a small but vocal presence from the U.S. fans coming to the match.

Ambassador Cianchette will attend the match with his wife, the President of Costa Rica, and the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva - commonly knows as Lula. Lula also happens to be staying in the team hotel. We're sure his staff is getting bonus points for the scheduling.
