Hull City has taken Jozy Altidore on loan for the duration of the 2009-10 season, subject to a work permit. Altidore joins up with the Tigers just weeks ahead of the opening of the Premier League season. Should he gain a work permit, Altidore will be available for selection in Hull's opening day game against Chelsea. Not a bad way to start the season...

@ Morgan-
The US-Mexico game will be televised on Mun2 with English language broadcasters. I would check your local listings to see if you get that channel. If not, I hear that they are offering it free just for that day so people can watch the game.
The Mexico game will be shown on mun2 if you have direct TV and dish network and Telemundo if you do not get mun2.
This is good news for Jozy and U.S. supporters...If Hull doesn't do what Villareal did and other discriminating European clubs do and bench an American.Don't (& hope) think that will happen b/c he should have spoken to the club & coach and should know his role; otherwise why accept if no playing time? If he gets full playing time and a fair chance to earn his spot this can certainly help his growth.Good luck Jozy!
