The U.S. MNT Blog will resume on Sunday, Sept. 2 as the team reconvenes in Chicago to begin preparation for a match against Brazil on Sept. 9 at Soldier Field in Chicago. We appreciate everyone logging into the MNT Blog during our few days in Sweden, which ended with a rather non-scintillating 1-0 loss to the hosts. (Remember, the MNT Blog isn’t a press release. We can say things like “non-scintillating.” If you don’t believe us, you can watch our all_access video on the game in which DaMarcus Beasley quite entertainingly referred to the game as “dull.” That seems pretty accurate. Hey, they can’t all be USA 2, Mexico 0.)
We will see everyone back here on Sept. 2.

Here's my team vs Brazil:
Howard
Specter Onyewu Bocanegra Bornstein
Feilhaber Beasley
Bradley
Donovan
Dempsey
Johnson
It starts as an attacking 4-3-1-2, but can switch fluidly to a 4-4-2 with Dempsey dropping back and Donovan and Johnson pushing up when Brazil scores their first. We can sub in Twellman for Johnson after 5 offsides. Convey can come in for Feilhaber after 5 well fought turnovers.
