Welcome back everyone. The endless summer of action for U.S. Soccer kicks it up another gear as the road to the 2010 FIFA World Cup resumes on Wendesday with the USA's opening match of the semifinal round against Guatemala. Kickoff at Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala is set for 7:30 p.m., and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and Galavision.
Most of the team has assembled in Miami this afternoon in preparation for tomorrow's departure to Guatemala. Carlos Bocanegra and Mo Edu will join up with the team in Guatemala, since Bocanegra's side Rennes played Sunday afternoon while Edu is in Glasgow working on final details of a potential transfer to Scottish powerhouse Rangers.
There's been a slight twist here in Miami as forecasters track Tropical Storm Fay, but it appears that Southern Florida will avoid the worst and the team's plans will not be disrupted.
Stay with us for a fast and furious four days as the U.S. faces its first road test in Guatemala.

glad to hear that Fay won't have an effect on the trip!
Yay! I'm glad some of the Olympic guys are getting a chance to be a part of this team. Especially Sacha and Michael. Oh yes - can't wait to see Michael Bradley ;) Go USA!
Anybody know why Freddy Adu wasn't included on the roster. He is our best play maker and could gain more experience by being on the roster. Our biggest problem is that we have no true goal scores and play makers. Lets hope Bradley decides to utilize players like Altidore and Adu soon.
