TRIVIA TIME FROM JO'BURG

Since we're still recovering from jet lag, we'll start off with an easy one. The U.S. has only played South Africa once at the senior level, a 4-0 win in the U.S. Cup on June 3, 2000. Had Eddie Lewis come to Johannesburg, he would have been the only player to have competed against the Bafana Bafana at that level. We do, however, have two players on the roster that have played against South Africa at the youth international level. So we want to know names, dates, etc. ... you know the drill ...

A bonus tidbit - Jeff Agoos earned his 100th cap against South Africa back in 2000, at that time becoming the fifth player in MNT history to hit the century mark.

December 16, 1998 - Christchurch Cup - DaMarcus Beasley & Oguchi Onyewu (also Landon Donovan, if he were still on the roster). 4-0 Win to advance to the final against South Korea, which the US won.

this is a difficult won, he is asking when the played against South Africa, not South Korea.

I'm aware of that. They beat South Africa on 12-16 to advance in the tournament to play South Korea.

Amy - you are correct With DMB & Gooch.

You also would have been correct with Donovan if he wasn't scratched.

There is 1 more player who has been called up lately that was also on that roster can you name him? I'll give you a hint - he currently plays in the EPL.

Easy. Bobby Convey. I was going to include him in the post as well, but since he wasn't even initially called to this camp, I decided against it.
