The quarterfinals of the Mexican Primera División Liguilla have kicked off and Pachuca started off on the right foot, winning 3-1 against Jaguares of Chiapes in the first leg of their series. José Francisco Torres was all over the field for the Tuzos, firing a shot in just the second minute that Jaguares goalkeeper Edgar Hernández managed to save and send out for a corner kick.
Torres took the kick, playing a short ball to Damian Álvarez, who in turn crossed it in to Paul Aguilar. Aguilar out-jumped the ‘keeper and finished off the header for Pachuca’s first goal in the third minute.
In the 21st minute, Torres got a goal of his own, receiving the ball just outside the 18-yard-box and blasting a shot that went into the lower left corner of the net, past the diving Hernández. Pachuca’s last goal came off an own goal from Gilberto Mora. The two teams face off again at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 17, at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, live on Telefutura.

This guy needs more playing time.
I worry about his physicality and lack of size against many senior national sides though. He's a mix and match player at best.
