Well done to several of our readers, who correctly picked up that the leader in minutes played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying cycle for the U.S. is none other than DaMarcus Beasley. In our informal survey, it took most people at least five attempts to get it right!
Beas has made 10 appearances out of 11 total matches thus far, including nine starts. Coming off injury last year, he played in both games against Barbados in June, and was one of a handful of regulars who traveled to T&T after the U.S. had clinched their place in the final round.
Beasley is followed in minutes by Michael Bradley and Heath Pearce, both of whom have started nine games as well.
