The new FIFA Rankings are out today and the top 39 places are unchanged. Spain is still ranked highest in the world, while the U.S. maintains its spot in 15th. That's the highest ranking in CONCACAF, with Mexico in 25th place coming closest.

A random stat: The MNT will be playing in Group B of the Confederations Cup, featuring Brazil, Italy and Egypt, which has an average world ranking of 15. The average ranking of Group A, with Spain, South Africa, Iraq and New Zealand, is 61.

Yes... it is a fair ranking. U.S. MNT have some good teams comming up in the next couple months. If they win those games they should be in the top 10 no doubt.

are we really supposed to believe the draw for the confed cup was random? FIFA is doing everything it can to give S Africa a chance to get thru. I just hope we don't get screwed again in the draw for the world cup.
Team USA should clock in at around 28, which is entirely respectable. The ratings are bogus, and the only results that truly matter are those in the World Cup.
