Anatomy of a 2-0: Bob's First on the Job

It was just two months into Bob Bradley's tenure that he faced his first big test. Coincidentally, the USA-Mexico meeting on Feb. 7, 2007, was also the first at the helm for the always colorful Mexico head coach Hugo Sanchez. While Sanchez chose to bring in all his big guns, Bradley pragmatically allowed some his European-based players to continue earning their place with their clubs. The result was a largely domestic-based roster for the USA, the group proudly stepping up to the plate. Jimmy Conrad powered home a header to give the U.S. a 1-0 lead, and Landon Donovan launched on a brilliant run through the Mexico defense to seal the 2-0 deal in Glendale.
