While we were reviewing highlights of the USA's goals against El Salvador since 1993, we recalled that one of the USA's four four-goal performances by an individual player came against the Azul when Joe-Max Moore did it on Dec. 5, 1993. Further, one of the USA's seven hat tricks also came against Saturday's opponent when Brian McBride dropped in a trio on Jan. 27, 2002.
So that got us wondering: when was the last time someone put in three against the U.S.? That one had us scratching our heads.
And now it's your turn ...

Czech Republic WC '06 3-0
We're looking for the player, not just the team!
US Cup. June 13th, 1993. Karl-Heinz Riedle scored 3 goals in a 4-3 victory over the US at Soldier Field in Chicago. The other Germany goal was scored by none other than Jurgen Klinsmann.
For good measure, two of the US goals were scored by a "German" as well...Thomas Dooley. Earnie Steward had the other.
Per Pedersen put 4 past Brad Friedel and the USA in the US Nike Cup on January 22nd 1997. Joe Max Moore was the lone goal scorer for the US
Moore scored FIVE goals in that El Salvador match in 1993...... but one of the goals went through a hole in the net and wasn't awarded by the referee!
