A Few Observations At The Stadium

U.S. fans may remember the grounds as the site of the 0-0 draw in World Cup qualifying back in November of 2001 - which also happened to be the qualifying debut of a young DaMarcus Beasley - but we digress...

  • The stadium holds about 25,000 people. We were there well after nightfall, and the stadium lights looked much brighter than some of our other recent road venues (we really hope we didn't just jinx ourselves).
  • The field played fairly smoothly, and definitely fast. The ground is firm, but not hard.
  • There is a track around the field, which always lessens the impact of the crowd a bit.
The U.S. will hold their stadium training session tomorrow afternoon, so we'll have more on their thoughts later.
