Until Next Month...

As the guys are packing up their bags before our departure in a few hours, we figured we'd wrap up the blog, at least until next month. Tonight's loss was only the U.S.' second ever to Trinidad and Tobago, and the first in World Cup Qualifying. Full credit goes to the Soca Warriors who really showed their mettle on the pitch tonight. A big shout out to their fans who made the game unforgettable - unforgettable in the sense that now the Blog will remember the moment when it partially lost its hearing. In all seriousness though, the atmosphere was fantastic all the way down to the live steel-drum band version of the Star Spangled Banner.

The island will be partying tonight, especially since rivals Guatemala succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Cuba. That means T&T are now three points clear in the race to make the final round. Around CONCACAF, Jamaica rolled on, beating Honduras 1-0, while Mexico fought back twice to salvage a 2-2 draw with Canada in Edmonton. That sets up a big final day in Group 2, but we'll get to that next time around...

Thanks for reading everybody and be sure to keep the coments coming! We'll see you in just under a month...

It was a good learning experience for the young guys. They didn't look too bad and TT seemed pretty good. I can't wait for next month.

Sacha needs to step it up! Not playing very well when he needs to. Please tell him to stop playing with his hair and worry about the game.

Aww that's sad. :( I'm going to have to admit that this game was a little hard to watch, but only because of where I grew up and the style of play I've grown up watching.

I am VERY impressed with the guys though. For they're age and the large number of players who haven't had much experience at this level, it was a very good game. :)

Don't worry about the loss. It's all good. :) The job has already been done. Can't wait to see what happens next and what young faces we'll see in November. :)

First off, just wanted to say good job with the site, keep up the good work.

Second, I noticed you guys have talked with Vava in the past. I am working with the Milwaukee Wave, and we are looking to contact him to take part in a 25th anniversary reunion. Would you guys be able to help.

You can email back at reunion@milwaukeewave.com.

Thanks so much!

There is nothing good about losing to Trinidad and Tobago. It's embarrassing.

Anyway, thank you USsoccer.com for the new stat analysis. It's much appreciated.
