Mini Reviews, Pt. 2

Last time around Gooch reviewed The Strangers for us and this time we have Jonathan Bornstein in the critic hotseat:

Zack and Miri Make a Porno
I thought Zak and Miri was good, though it wasn't great. I really like those movies where the main characters are kind of down-on-their luck, basically at rock bottom, and have to do something out of the ordinary to realize their potential. It was definitely a movie where you don't have to think that much but it made me laugh, which I guess is all that you need.
Score: 6.5/10

Taken was intense, very suspenseful, and I felt like I was sweating at times. It was a little bit over the top: he never gets shot but he can hit everybody with one bullet, a typical action movie. The storyline was pretty compelling though and Liam Neeson was a badass. It was really intense for 12:30 am sitting in my bed wanting to go to sleep, but overall it was pretty good and I was entertained.
Score: 8/10

After seeing Taken, a friend of mine said they should have just called it
"Liam Neeson Kills Everyone!". I haven't seen it yet personally but it sounds interesting.

good luck against Italy!!
