This game could really shape the outlook for El Tri. If they win they are "back" and heading towards the World Cup with some momentum. If they lose then they are still mired in mediocrity and might miss out on the World Cup.

Maybe the silver lining from the 5-0 game is that our guys will be fired up to avenge the loss for their backups.

reserves or not, both mexico and usa got to the gold cup final by winning. they were the best there and they met in the final. Mexico was better at that moment and there is no denying it.a win is a win, enough said. GO MEXICO!

I read somewhere else that the usmnt will only be training together for 2 days in miami before the game in mex. Can anyone at ussoccer tell me why in the world you would train for two days at sea level and then expect to go to mexico city @ almost 7500ft expect to keep up? Why wouldn't you at least train in Denver at around 5500ft? The facilities surrounding Dicks Sporting Goods Field are more than sufficient. Granted two days is not a lot of time to get acustomed to the altitude, but its still two days of high altitude training.

Mexico has done this past month really good and improve a lot ! I strongly think that Mexico is going to win at least 2-0 with Giovani dos Santos and Carlos vela there some definitely goals there. And Guardado, Rafael Marques back in no doubt. America be afraid !
