Familiar Faces

Four players on the Costa Rican roster have played in Major League Soccer. Gonzalo Segares currently patrols the left flank for the Chicago Fire. Former teammate Andy Herron had two spells in Chicago, with a stint in Columbus wedged between. Herron had an assist and the game-winning goal when the Fire defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-1 to capture the 2006 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title. Pablo Brenes appeared in 15 games for the MetroStars in 2004, while one year later Michael Umana played 15 games with the Galaxy.
