First Reactions (including David Villa's)

Bob Bradley: "It was a great team effort. To beat an amazing team like Spain and to make the final, it's big."

Clint Dempsey: "No one thought we were going to get to the finals. We worked hard, and we knew it was going to be a tough game. That's why people come to the game, you never know what is going to happen and that's why people love this game."

Tim Howard: "It just goes to show you that in sports, if you put your mind to something, and you work really hard you can achieve great things. It's a proud moment for us as a country and as a team. We are just happy that we are the guys that are representing the USA."

Landon Donovan: "Tonight we put on a really good show."

I am still in shock, Gave me chills watching that game. Most had wrote them off. Even myself. I am so happy for them, And wish them the best for the final.

But what about playing Adu and Torres? Fire Bob Bradley!!!

/sarcasm

Seriously...it must really suck to be those that were/are still dumb enough to be in that Fire Bob group right about now.

As I have been saying all along ....We have the team to beat anyone! To hell with Daisy Chick and christian Dyer....who said we couldn't beat the world powers and not to expect much, but like I said US SOCCER has what it takes! Good job guys!

Such amazing work, guys. Way to break down the midfield and make huge defensive plays. More analysis here: http://lonegoal.blogspot.com

I think we're all happy with this win but those "stupid" enough to have concerns with Bob Bradley developed that opinion over the years, not in the past month.

Comments like yours make you look rather unintelligent, as well.

Let's just all enjoy this fantastic win. Go USA!

Yeah "lol" at the people who were unhappy with the apathetic performances kebzach. Isn't it amazing though people were calling for Boca at LB...what happened??? Or Davies to be playing before the tournament even started???? Or Beasley to never play again?? Yeah all those crtics know nothing.

It was a great win and I always support the team passionately. To be a supporter does not mean you have to sit hear in silent dissent and take what Blank Face was putting out there.

DumbMexican - what are you 12? you need to reread my posts. I never said we couldn't, I just said that supporting your team is an unconditional thing - which means you support them when they lose as much as when they win. I was never on the fire bradley or the team sucks bandwagon.

I've been critical of Bob and the boys on here, but I'll give praise where it's due. Great job last night boys! A fantastic game plan, execution and heart!

"I don't think anyone can say we ever showed a lack of respect to our opponents in that time. USA were the better side because they coped with the pressure we put on them and scored the goals."

Fernando Torres, Spain striker

I think making Dempsey the man of the match does a huge disservice to the full field play of Donovan and the rock solid defensive performance by DeMerit, Onyewu, and of course Howard.
